Faith
Hebrews 11: 1-11
Question 1:     What is your understanding of Faith?
Answer:   The root meaning of the word faith comes from the Greek word "PISTIS" pronounced (pis-tis) which literally means "Firm persuasion".
So true faith, will be fully persuaded, fully trusting.

Question 2:
Ephesians 2:8         For by grace you are saved through faith, and that
not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,
We see from the above scripture that, salvation comes from God:
But is it our faith that we need to exercise, or does that faith come from God as well?
Answer:        Comes from God.
Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given to me, to every one who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Read Acts 4:31-37 and Chapter 5:1-11
Question 3
Were the people instructed by the apostles to sell their land.
Answer:
No, they decided to share their possessions.
Question4:
What was the motivating force that caused the people to share the land and possessions?
Answer:
They were of one heart and one soul.
When we identify ourselves with our brothers and sisters, we will always be there for them. Unfortunately, so many of God's people are selfish.
Lets, ask God to keep us humble and caring for one another.

Question 5:
Now Ananias and Sapphira had land and sold it, the money was theirs to give; nobody was forcing them to bring it to the disciples for distribution:
so why was he and his wife killed by God.

Answer:
If they had said that the money that they gave was part of the sale and they wanted to keep the balance, nothing would have happened,
but they said that it was the full figure, in other words, they lied to God.

Chapter 5: 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own authority?
Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.

Question 6:
What do you think that Ananias and Sapphira lacked in, that the others were exercising.
Answer:
Don’t you think they were not exercising their faith; they were not fully persuaded in faith in God, that if they gave all,
they will no longer have that “nest egg” to rely on?

Question 7:
Is it wrong to have money set aside in case of emergences?
Answer:
There is no harm in having money set aside, but be honest about it.
Don’t say I am trusting God to provide for me in time of need,
when in fact we know that we always have the means set aside in case we really need it.

Note:
Faith only works with truth and integrity; we need to be fully persuaded that God wants to give us His best.
Yes not all have come to that point yet, but be open and honest before God and our fellow believers.

Question 4:
What does this last portion of scripture mean to you?.
Answers:
Be honest with all what we do for God and man.
